I can answer your questions along the way, and make sure that you are getting the book you’ve been dreaming of along our journey.

Illustrations are key to bringing your book to life. To truly capture the attention of your audience you need your illustrations to be vibrant, sometimes fun and definitely eye-catching. This is where I can help you!

I will be able to give your illustrations a unique and distinct style, presenting the characters and the story in a way that intrigues and entertains your desired target ages. I strongly believe that every drawing should have its own identity and be unforgettable. Each book should have its own character, its own look, and its own story.

Above and beyond the artwork

I often get asked many questions while working on projects, but the most frequent are, ‘What’s the process?’, ‘Can you help me to turn my story in to a book?’, and ‘Can I get just a few copies for personal use?’

Due to my affliation with Book Brilliance Publishers, I can guide you through the whole process, starting with your ideas and story, going right through to getting your book printed, should you choose to take this route. I can answer your questions along the way, making sure that the end results meets your needs and desires!

How I work

My main goal is to “keep it simple!”

• First I like to have an in-depth conversation with you over Skype. I like to find out as much as possible, not just about your impending book, but a little bit about you too. This is important as it will give me a good understanding of what you are trying to achieve, why you are trying to achieve it, what your main focus is and where you want your creation to go.
• You then provide me with ALL the details regarding the book. I will need a copy of your proofread manuscript and a descriptive paragraph/synopsis for the back cover, if you have chosen this service.  Also, you can inform me of any ideas for characters and design if you have any. I will also need to know if I have any illustrative restraints. You would need to let me know which style you have chosen from the details above.
• Now it’s storyboard and sketch building time. This is where you can check the sketches and make any suggestions you wish. (Changes are unable to be made after this stage free of charge, as they will require a re-draw).
• Illustration development (approx. 3-4 weeks of work dependent on the complexity of the illustrations. I will advise).
• When the illustrations are complete I will send you your first watermarked digital drafts.
• Once you are happy and the proof is ready to be signed-off, I will provide you with all the final files (print-ready PDFs and JPEGs) and if you wish, I can liaise with a printer on your behalf. I can also put you in contact with Book Brilliance Publishers who can offer you some fantastic options for your book.
